Happy Lunar New Year to all!. Gong he fat choy & Gong xi fa cai! Wish you all the best for the new year. I flew across to Perth for the weekend to spend time with the Mr’s family. We didn’t have a traditional feast but we were happy we got to spend time with each other during these times.

There was word on the street that there was a new burger joint shining in Melbourne. I knew I just had to go! Many have said it was better then Huxtaburger. Of course I couldn’t stop nagging the Mr to go ever since I heard of it.

The Mr was a bit overwhelmed and wanted everything on the menu, so in the end we settled on getting the lamb burger, chilli dog, smash beef burger & onion rings. Despite ordering a fair bit the portions were quite small and we felt a bit peckish after dinner. So if you happen to be a hungry monster ;) I recommend 2 burgers each.

The Lamb Burger, you should of seen the Mr eating this, he was in true heaven. I don’t eat lamb so I couldn’t comment but Mr declare it the best lamb burger ever. He claimed it completely melted in his mouth.

The Chilli Dog didn’t live up to our expectations. It wasn’t bad but didn’t exhibit a wow factor. The sausage & the bun was a bit of the letdown.

The Onion rings are massive in size and very crispy. Probably the best onion rings I have had in a while.

The star dish was the beef Double Patty Smash Burger. The bun is super soft and the meat, very juicy.

I know you are going to probably ask, Huxtaburger or Rockwells? It’s hard to decide, I think but both are good in their own ways. My heart swings slightly towards Huxtaburger. I can’t wait to return again!
